TUSCANY TRASURE HUNTING
It’s a treasure hunt through various key locations in the Tuscan territory, where teams compete to be the first to find the clues we leave along the way, pointing them to the next destination. From there, the next, and then the next until the team reaches the final destination, where finalists will be determined, and maybe a winner!
The idea behind this exciting adventure is to create a new way to experience Tuscany and its treasures: a wealth of artistic and historical beauty.
It’s one thing to do the classic tourist thing - designed by travel people who determine the sites you want to see. It’s another to truly interact with the places you discover, experimenting.
Tasting, going deeper in your discovery of this breathtaking world – and really making it your own.
...“MAYBE” A WINNER?
Right… “maybe” a winner because the points you score along the way, as well as advantages and disadvantages, can be turned upside down in the final challenge!
O HOW DOES IT WORK?
You play in teams (maximum five) comprised of two people each, competing against each other over four days, to unearth the clues that lead you to the final treasure – the final destination.
EACH TEAM WILL BE PROVIDED WITH:
-a FIAT 500, equipped with a full tank of gas and GPS tracking satellite system
-the initial “CLUE”
-A computer tablet programmed with internet access and the tools of the game,
-with all the indications you will need to participate in the treasure hunte
ROUTE
Each team will have a different route leading to the key spots – where those clues await!
NO RACING, PLEASE!
One primary objective of the project is to enjoy Tuscany, in all its splendor – roads and countryside included. To ensure that even the most competitive of participants fully enjoy the wonders of the journey, there will be minimum time frameworks (for traveling from point to point) which will result in penalties if not adhered to.
…OVER DINNER
At the end of each day, all the teams will end up in the same location, where they will enjoy dinner together, share their discoveries, and explore new friendships.
TUSCAN DELICACIES
Lunch and dinner, and every “tasting” event, will be typically Tuscan – from the destination selected for you, to the delicacies you will savor.
STAY IN VERY SPECIAL PLACES
We have selected, for you, very sought after places – elegant and compelling – that will surely inspire! We want you to enjoy the elegance, the uniqueness of some of Tuscany’s more prestigious offerings.
MEET UP
Some of your “tests” will be shared with the others: wine tasting, perhaps, and testing your knowledge of wines, and grapes… or who knows? Maybe on a golf course…or maybe?
MUSEUM VISITS
It may happen that one of your clues, and the quiz you’re presented with, places you inside a museum, with a riddle to solve – there are so many places in Tuscany to learn from. Of course, you won’t pay to enter … that’s all taken care of for you..
PREPARE TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS!!!
Experiencing a journey such as this will create new connections, new friends you will make along the way.
ALL-INCLUSIVE
As a participant you will be entitled to three nights in magnificent accommodations, breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout, tastings, a FIAT 500 for your travel from place to place, and a computer tablet for your research and to track your path throughout.
AND THE WINNER IS…
At the end of each day, the teams will be classified based on their answers to the quizzes they answered, and on the time it took to complete them! Basically, the first clue will lead you to a given location which, upon reaching the destination, will present you with a quiz complete with the history of the place or person you have found there. The answers, posted on our site, will rank each team, which will determine each team’s advantage, or disadvantage - leading to the final challenge..
FINAL CHALLENGE
Each day a part of the final riddle will be revealed. The complete riddle on the last day, will be revealed to the teams, based on the points acquired. The first to get there can dive right in to solve the challenge; the other teams will do the same, in the time that follows, based on their accumulated time delays.
PRIZES
All teams will receive prizes, bottles of wine, and local products. The grand prize winners will receive a free weekend stay in Florence.
